It doesn’t help that the way they died was pretty much the same as the Phoenix did in X-Men 3—it would be exactly the same if Wolverine had died too. :/

Sadly, that isn’t the worst experience I’ve had. I’ve had my otp die, and in a fic that was totally happy and just killed them off with no warning or reason. You’d figure that would be in the Supernatural fandom or something, but no, it was the Merlin fandom, wtf. At least in this fic, the mood fit, y’know?
