I enjoy Star Trek and the Avengers mainly, though I have a zillion other interests that usually relate to gay sex.

Because if it’s canon, um, that really cheers me up for series 3 of Sherlock. Sherlock stops being a tit and tells John he’s alive, John punches him, and somehow Sherlock needs to teach John to dance. “Take my hand, John.”

I still am, but then I realized that now I have a basis to judge the series. They have officially opened the door on the concept of someone being completely gay or straight and having one exception. If done properly and maturely, they will expand this idea to include John, who has stated several times that he’s not gay when everyone around him says he is smitten with Sherlock.

However, I have very little hope anything romantic will ever come up between them, because mainstream television and film has taught me that when men say they’re straight, they’re always straight, but when a woman says she’s gay then she’s just hadn’t met the right man.

I was able to stifle my squee pretty well in the theater, though it helped that I started getting frustrated. This movie was so gay that it actually annoyed me that Holmes and Watson just don’t make out already. Though, even if Mary served little purpose except to be a beard and as a device to let the writers get away with the most homoerotic shit they can think of, I will happily accept this new trend and I am feeling pretty good about Uhura being with Spock. 2013 is going to be a fantastic year.

Where the fuck did Holmes’ shirt go somewhere between the punching and the awkward discovery? Do shirts normally get torn off during fights? And why is his leg suddenly slung over Watson’s shoulder?

That is a very good point. Boys?

THIS SCENE, GUYS. I only noticed it after about a dozen rewatches because it’s so subtle and fleeting that anyone could miss it the first time around. Watson is discreetly (but eagerly) watching Holmes examine a corpse but he doesn’t want to show that he’s interested because he’s supposedly determined not to get involved in Holmes’ sleuthing any more, he’s getting married to Mary and packing up and moving out of 221B full stop, but in that instant, Holmes catches him watching and his interest is suddenly exposed so he quickly turns back and continues packing his stuff like it never happened but Holmes already saw it and he just smiles to himself—no, he grins— knowingly, and I AM SEEING SO MUCH FROM THIS GRIN. It’s like he’s thinking “Ah, that’s my Watson. He’s still mine. He still belongs to me.” and as the scene moves on Watson finally gives up his attempts at hiding his interest altogether and helps Holmes deduce the origin of the corpse, on his own, without any reference (whereas Holmes needed to refer to a register log to come to his solution). And despite the fact that he made all the correct guesses before Holmes did, it’s now my head!canon that Holmes is pretending not to know—he’s pretending to come off as slow and deliberately calculating so that Watson can come to the solutions before he does. He knows Watson enjoys the thrill of solving a problem, especially without his help, and he’s doing this on purpose because this is his last chance to salvage Watson’s constant presence in his life, his last opportunity to show Watson, to tell him “Admit it. You enjoy this. This is what you want, this is where you belong, this is what you’ll get if you stay here with me and this is what you’ll miss out on if you leave with Mary.” That grin is a sign of how proud he is of Watson, his Watson, and at that moment he knows that no matter how strong Watson’s resolve is to leave, a part of him doesn’t want to, a part of him yearns to join Holmes in his every case and stay there at 221b and grow old with him fighting crime together. This glance between them and that grin is just so endearing and adorable and frustrating at the same time because you know they’re in love and belong together and should just come already sdkfajh.

I can’t any more with these men.
