Holy crap, this needs to be recced all over. Spock doesn’t go on the five year mission, and somehow ends up homeless. Kirk comes across him and adopts a Vulcan. Dude, it shouldn’t work, it shouldn’t make sense that fucking Spock could be homeless, but it does and this nice long fic is amazing and builds up the relationship so perfectly.
